Tree of Life silkscreen process

Here are step-by-step photos of how I created the Tree of Life silkscreen. Depending on how many colors I use and how many prints I make, it can easliy take up an entire weekend. Enjoy!

Here I start with a heavy-weight paper
which I have aged with coffee.

I print the white background first.

Next I print the yellow for the birds.

Then comes the first of two greens for the leaves.

Next, the darker green is printed.

Finally, I print the black screen.
As you can see, this step is the most rewarding!

My apartment doubles as the drying area.
